Am I automatically covered for Mechanical Breakdown Insurance?
No. Not all of our used vans come with this cover as standard, but most of them could qualify for cover. For more information, please ask your dealer about Mechanical Breakdown Insurance when talking to him about your next used van.
Our policy covers your used van for all mechanical, all electrical and electronic parts (including the labour costs to fit them) in the event of a mechanical breakdown.
What about wear and tear items - are they covered on the policy?
That's entirely up to you as we offer two types of policy for our used vans - one with wear and tear and one without, dependent on the age and mileage of the vehicle when you take out the policy.
If I have a problem, which dealer can I take my van to for repair?
Our Mechanical Breakdown Insurance cover is on the vehicle specified in the agreement documentation and shown on the Policy Schedule, which means that you can take it to one of over 90 UK dealer service locations for repair. So even if the worst happens and you're far from home, you are still only a short distance from help. And when help arrives, our technicians will attempt to repair your van at roadside and recover it to our dealer workshops if they can't. And if you're traveling abroad you are also covered in the EU and EFTA states.
